WADSWORTH:  A U.S. Olympic Gold Medalist will be the guest speaker at tonight’s Wadsworth High School Athletic Scholarship benefit dinner and auction at The Galaxy Restaurant.

Dinner will begin at 7 p.m. while doors will open a half hour prior.  The event is open to the public, as all proceeds will benefit Wadsworth Youth Football.  Cost is $35 per person, and a benefit auction featuring sports memorabilia and gift baskets will cap off the evening.

The guest speaker will be Akron native Butch Reynolds, U.S. Olympic Gold Medalist in track and field.  Reynolds once held the world record in the 400-meter dash.  Scholarships will be awarded to former Wadsworth Youth Football alumni.

Tickets are available at the door, online here or by calling Bill Hall at 330-328-6757.
