Activities at the Soprema Senior Center, 617 School Drive for this week include:
On Monday, assistance in filing your income tax will be available from 9 a.m. to noon for those with an appointment. At 1 p.m. a craft class titled "Brownies in a Jar" will be held.
For Tuesday, the walking track at the YMCA will be available from 9 to 11 a.m. Be sure to stop at the Soprema Center to pick up a walking tag which will allow you to use the track if you are not a member of the Y.
Cards and games will be held from 9:30-11:30 a.m. and a blood pressure check will be available beginning at 10 a.m.
For those with an appointment, "Ask an Attorney" will begin at 1 p.m. Elder law attorneys will answer simple legal questions.
On Wednesday, assistance with the filing income taxes will be available from 9 a.m. until noon for those who have an appointment.
From 10 to 11 a.m. the Arthritis Exercise class will be held. This class is conducted by a certified exercise instructor who will help those with arthritis through a series of stretching and strengthening exercises.
From 3 to 4 p.m. Tai Chi practice will be available.
For Thursday, cards and Mah Jongg will be available from 10 to 11 a.m. and Bridge from noon to 3:30 p.m.
A blood pressure check will be held at 10:30 a.m. and the YMCA walking track will be open from 12-2 p.m.
Beginning at 2 p.m. a program titled "Health Benefits of Chocolate" will discuss how chocolate can protect your heart, lower your risk of cancer, re-energize you, improve your mood, decrease your pain and shed pounds. This program, sponsored by Hospice of Wadsworth-Rittman, is free but you need to make a reservation.
For Friday, Bingo will be take place from 10-11:30 a.m.
