Downtown Wadsworth is expected to be aswarm with people Saturday at the 19th Annual Sidewalk Sale, Founder’s Day and Cruise-in car show.
Jack Ollom, executive director of the Downtown Wadsworth Association, said the sidewalk sale "always has a good mixture of local merchants and vendors" participating. The sale will be in progress from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
In addition to the sale, a car show will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. downtown with registration at Sonnets Espresso Bar and Restaurant. Awards will be presented in different categories.
A historical tour will begin at 8 p.m. Ollom noted, with tickets available at St. Mark's Church. The tour will include sites associated with the city's founding fathers including those at the cemetery.
Ollom said the event will be held "rain or shine" and everyone is invited.
For an event before Saturday’s festivities, the Wadsworth American Legion Post No. 170, 102 Main St., will host a pig roast at 11 a.m. today until the pig is gone.
