Soprema Center to host Parkingson's Disease support group meeting this week

Activities for the week at the Soprema Center, 617 School Drive, will include a discussion on Memory Loss Tuesday and Veterans Assistance on Wednesday. (Beau Dusz/Ohio.com correspondent)

The Center is closed today for President's Day, but will reopen Tuesday to host a slew of activities.

Breakfast Out will be held at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at Crawford's in Rittman, the Walking Track will be available at the YMCA from 9 to 11 a.m. and a Watercolor Class will take place from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

That afternoon, the Parkinson's Disease Caregiver Support Group will meet at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday to hear a report on "SIGNS OF MEMORY LOSS." Lunch will be included. To make reservations, call 330-335-1513.

For Wednesday, the activities will include tax filing assistance for those who have an appointment from 9 to noon; arthritis exercise from 10-11 a.m.; pinochle, 12:30- 3 p.m.; and,Tai Chi practice, 3-4 p.m.

From 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday a representative of the Medina County Veterans Service will be available to answer questions. No appointment is necessary to attend this meeting.

On Thursday, card lessons will be held from 10-11 a.m.; Mah Jongg, 10-11:30 a.m.; walking track, noon-2 p.m. and Bridge, 12-3:30 p.m.

Bingo will be available from 10-11:30 a.m. on Friday.
