The Miami Dolphins won Super Bowl VII; the Oakland Athletics, the World Series; and George Foreman, the world heavyweight boxing championship.
In college football, Southern California won the Rose Bowl; Texas, the Cotton Bowl; Oklahoma, the Sugar Bowl; and, Nebraska, the Orange Bowl.
As for music, the hits were "Killing Me Softly with His Song," "You Are The Sunshine of My Life," and, "Neither One of Us."
In that era and during those events, 330 students graduated from Wadsworth High School. That class will hold its 40th Reunion July 12 and 13.
The classes of 1972 and 1974 are invited to join the 1973 class at a "Before and After Reunion" at a picnic from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. July 12 at the Eagles Pavilion. Participants are asked to bring a side dish. Sandwiches will be provided.
On July 13 a buffet dinner will be served at the Galaxy Restaurant, 210 Park Center Drive, Wadsworth Ohio with a cost of $32 as part of the festivities.
