The O.J. Work Auditorium will be filled with the sounds of music at 8 p.m. Monday when the Wadsworth High School Vocal Department presents its Classical/Art Song Concert.
Under the direction of Linda McNamara and accompanied by Brenda Adley, performances will be by the Concert, Show and Elite Choirs and the Girls and Guys Ensembles.
The 49-member Concert Choir will perform: "Agnus Dei" by Porterfield; "Joshua!" arranged by Shaw; "Behold the Shepherd" by Sleeth; and "The Bells" by Leavitt presented by the girls.
In addition, the Concert Choir guys will do "Sick of the Songs of the Sea" by Bennett with Blake Brouse as soloist and "Movin' On" by Hannisian. "Movin' On" will include the trio of Erica Blanton, Hannah Gaugler and Haley Ligas with Taylor Cole on the flute.
Crocker's "Gypsy Rover" and "Sun and Moon" arranged by Huff from Miss Saigon are also included in the Concert Choir's repertoire.
The 15-member Girls Ensemble will perform: "Joyfully Sing" and "The Lark Ascending" by Spevacek and "Didn't My Lord Deliver Daniel?" arranged by Shaw.
With 24 members, the Show Choir will perform: "Soon-Ah Will Be Done" by Dawson; "Pie Jesu" by Webber with soloists Logan Boyer and Cara Powell; "Great God A 'Mighty" by Shaw with soloists Morgan Bowman and Zack Humes.
Also included in the Show Choir"s selections will be: "My Heart I'll Ask You Not Forget" arranged by Michaels; "If Ever I Would Leave You" from "Camelot" arranged by Shaw with Sonia Potter as soloist.
"Tuxedo Junction" arranged by Nowak will include soloists Tayah Turocy, Dimitri Georgiadis and Tyler Coy with guitarist Jake Gray, Steph Askea on Bass and Cameron Garoutte as percussionist as part of the Show Choir's renditions.
The 14-member Guys Ensemble will perform "Now The Day Is Over" arranged by Tracy with Gabe Reed as soloist and "Sixteen Tons" arranged by Artman.
With over 90 members, the Elite Choir will finish the performances with: "All That Hath Life and Breath" by Clausen with soloist Emily Stasko; "Alleluia" by Thompson; and Passereau's "Il est bel et bon."
The Elite Choir will in addition do: Spevacek's "Always Something Sings;" "The Voice" arranged by Emerson with soloist Lindy Trenoff and guitarist Jake Gray; and, "A Cappella Overtures" arranged by Beck.
