Service Director Chris Easton stated in a news release this event gives the customer a chance to help the environment and he hopes customers will take advantage of this opportunity to properly dispose of their mercury thermometers.

For the collection of unused or out-dated prescription and over-the-counter medications, a person will be on hand at the police station to accept the packages.
It is best if the medications are out of their containers and placed in a plastic bag.
