WADSWORTH: The Wadsworth Public Library and Downtown Wadsworth Inc. are holding an inaugural event for children of all ages on July 20.
The Learn-a-Palooza How-to Festival will run from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., and will include free classes, demonstrations throughout the library and the downtown area. Course catalogs will be available at the Downtown Wadsworth information table in front of FirstMerit Bank and at the library.
The wide-ranging selection of classes includes an introduction to the sport of fencing, a tie-dye workshop, yoga for kids, an overview of nutrition and medication guidelines for diabetics, how to make homemade pasta, guitar restringing, and much more. Instructors include library staff, plus staff from downtown businesses including Cool Beans Cafe, Wadsworth Music, and Pro's Choice Massage. Health screenings by Summa Barberton Hospital and Altercare will also be offered. St. Mark's Episcopal Church and the Wadsworth Historical Society's Johnson House will both be open for tours during the festival.
