The Wadsworth Salvation Army will hold fundraisers on Saturday and Wednesday.
The first fundraiser is the annual Walk-A-Thon and Family Fun Day, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Park.
The Walk-A-Thon will begin at 10 a.m. with registration from 9 to10 a.m. The fee to enter is $10 per person.
A corn hole tournament will begin at 11 a.m. with registration beginning at 9 a.m. The fee is $40 per team with cash prizes for first and second place.
In addition to the fundraising events, the whole family can enjoy the day with a live DJ, face painting, a bouncy house, concessions, rescue vehicles on display, Jammin' Jumpers and a police officer show and tell.
All proceeds will benefit the Wadsworth Salvation Army Educational Services. It is sponsored by Structure Personnel, Inc., 1219 High Street. More information can be obtained at 330-335-7227.
The second fundraiser will be on Wednesday at the Galaxy Banquet Center, 201 Park Center Dr.
Termed The Salvation Army Annual Community Dinner and "Chair-ity" Auction, this event will feature a series of chairs which have been repurposed by Learning Center students into works of art to be auctioned.
The social will begin at 6 p.m with dinner at 6:30 p.m. Tickets for this event are $40 each and can be purchased at the Salvation Army, 527 High Street, or from the Salvation Army board members.
