Junior Kyle Prunty scored on a put back of a missed 3-pointer with seven seconds remaining to give the visiting Grizzlies (6-5) a 61-60 win over the Magics (8-3) in a non-league game Tuesday night.
The Grizzlies trailed 52-46 after the third quarter and were behind by nine points with six minutes to go but used a pressure defense to turn the game around and rallied in the fourth quarter for the win.
"It was a total team effort and the guys stepped up big," Wadsworth coach Mike Schmeltzer said. "It was a great team win and I'm very proud of our guys."
The Grizzlies are currently in third place in the Suburban League with a 5-2 record and face a daunting task trying to catch league leaders Nordonia (7-0) and Green (6-1).
"This was hopefully a big lift," Schmeltzer said. "We played a difficult nonconference schedule and hope we can carry it out in the second half."
Prunty finished with 18 points and junior Pat Long added 14 points for the Grizzlies. Joshua Williams led the Magics with 20 points.
